About Us

Saving Strays Animal Rescue is a local animal charity based in Bolton. We care for and re-home unwanted cats, dogs, horses, rabbits and would never allow a healthy animal to be put down.

Many of our animals have not had the best start in life and are in need of support from their new families. To ensure they get this it is our policy to carry out home checks on all potential new homes prior to adoption. In this way we hope to provide the most suitable homes for our animals and give them the best possible chance of finding their new forever families.

Saving Strays Animal Rescue is staffed by a small team of volunteers, without whom we could not operate. If you would like to get involved with Saving Strays Animal Rescue and our work, why not make a donation, volunteer or foster. Any help you can offer will always be greatly appreciated by all of us here at Saving Strays Animal Rescue and of course by all of the animals in our care!

What we do?

We ensure that every animal is neutered, vaccinated, has flea and worm treatment, and is microchipped, along with any other medical needs that animal has.

All vet history is recorded at our chosen vets and will be passed onto the new owner upon adoption.

How do we do it?

We have a set adoption fee for cats and dogs that covers not only that animal’s care but goes towards the care of all our animals in rescue.

When you adopt from Saving Strays Animal Rescue we provide you with an Adoption Contract and all the vet history needed for your new pet.

Partner & friends

We are a part of the Home Checkers Network which now allows us to rehome all over the UK.

For every adoption there will be a thorough home check arranged to ensure that you and your new family member are right for each other!

Saving Strays Animal Rescue Receives Incredible £3,000 Donation from Car & Commercial Solutions

At Saving Strays Animal Rescue, donations make a real difference to the animals we care for. Recently, we received some wonderful news that has taken a significant amount of pressure off our rescue, and we couldn't wait to share it.

We are delighted to announce that Car & Commercial Solutions, based in Haydock, has generously donated £3,000 to Saving Strays Animal Rescue.

A Donation That Will Make a Real Difference

Jenna from Car & Commercial Solutions contacted us to explain that the company makes a donation to a worthy charity each month and would love for Saving Strays to receive this month's contribution.

We were absolutely thrilled that they chose us.

Running an animal rescue comes with many ongoing costs, but veterinary bills are one of our biggest financial pressures. Animals come into our care for all sorts of reasons, and some arrive needing medical treatment, medication and follow-up appointments before they can begin their journey towards a happier life.

These costs can quickly add up, particularly for a small rescue that relies on the generosity of its supporters.

This incredible £3,000 donation will make a significant contribution towards our veterinary bills and help ease some of that financial pressure. It means we can continue focusing on providing the care our animals need, knowing that we have received such wonderful support from our local community.

We are incredibly grateful to Jenna and everyone at Car & Commercial Solutions for choosing to support our rescue.

Thank You to Everyone Who Supports Saving Strays

While we want to give a special thank you to Car & Commercial Solutions for this amazing donation, we also want to recognise all the other people who support us throughout the year.

Every donation helps. Whether it's a one-off contribution, a regular donation, an item from our Amazon Wishlist or support with one of our fundraising appeals, it all helps us provide food, shelter, veterinary treatment and care for animals in need.

Even sharing our posts on social media can help us reach someone who might be able to donate, foster or offer an animal a forever home.

We know there are many worthy causes that people and businesses can choose to support, and we never take that kindness for granted.

How You Can Help

We rely on donations and community support to continue our work rescuing and caring for animals. If you'd like to help Saving Strays Animal Rescue, there are several ways to get involved:

Donate: Every contribution helps towards the cost of veterinary treatment, medication, food and other essentials.

Foster: Offer a safe, temporary home to an animal while we work towards finding their forever family.

Shop our wishlist: Donate essential supplies through our Amazon Wishlist.

Spread the word: Share our appeals with friends, family and on social media to help us reach more people.

Thank You, Car & Commercial Solutions

To Jenna and the whole team at Car & Commercial Solutions, thank you for your incredible generosity and for choosing Saving Strays Animal Rescue as your charity this month.

Your £3,000 donation will make a meaningful difference to our rescue and the animals who depend on us.

And to everyone who has donated, volunteered, fostered, shared our appeals or supported us in any way, thank you. Every act of kindness helps us keep going and give more animals the chance of a safer, happier future.

Together, we can make a difference, one animal at a time.
