Meet Teddy

A Young Boy Looking for His Forever Home

Meet Teddy, a lovely Terrier cross, possibly a Jack Russell, who is looking for a family to call his own.

At approximately 12 months old, Teddy is still young, full of energy and learning about the world around him. He’s looking for a loving home where he can enjoy plenty of walks, playtime and attention, alongside the continued training and guidance that will help him grow into a happy, well-settled companion.

Like many young dogs, Teddy is still working on a few things. He’ll need a patient family who can offer consistency, understanding and plenty of positive encouragement as he settles into his new life.

Could you be the person to give Teddy the fresh start he deserves?

About Teddy

Breed: Terrier cross, possibly Jack Russell

Age: Approximately 1 years

Sex: Male

Teddy’s Personality

Teddy is a young dog with lots of energy and enthusiasm. He can be vocal when excited and may pull a little at the beginning of walks, but he tends to settle once he gets going.

He’s still learning and will benefit from a family who can help him develop good habits through patience, consistency and positive training.

Teddy can live with children and other dogs, making him a potential match for a family looking to welcome a young canine companion. However, he will need a cat-free home.

Teddy’s Ideal Home

Teddy needs a family who can give him the time, attention and guidance that a young dog requires.

His ideal home would offer:

  • Plenty of exercise: Daily walks, playtime and activities to keep his body and mind occupied.
  • Continued training: A patient owner who can help him develop good habits and build confidence through consistent, positive reinforcement.
  • Time and companionship: Teddy can currently be left for around two hours at a time, so he needs a home where someone can spend plenty of time with him and gradually build up any time alone if appropriate.
  • A cat-free environment: Teddy needs a home without cats.
  • Understanding and patience: He is still working on toileting and chewing, so his new family must be prepared to support him with these behaviours.

Teddy has lots of potential, but he needs a family who understands the commitment involved in helping a young dog settle into a new home.

Teddy’s Training and Care

As Teddy is still young, there are a few areas where he'll need continued support:

  • Toileting: Teddy needs reminders and a consistent routine, particularly as he was previously left for long periods.
  • Chewing: He may chew when left for extended periods, so supervision, appropriate chew toys and gradual training will be important.
  • Walking: He may pull initially but settles as the walk progresses.
  • Excitement: Teddy can be vocal when excited and will benefit from continued guidance and training.

With the right approach, patience and consistency, his new family can help him develop the skills he needs to thrive.

Teddy’s Health

Teddy is a young, energetic dog, and no specific health concerns have been provided in his current profile.

For further information about his veterinary history, vaccinations and any other care requirements, please contact Calique Dog Rescue directly.

Could You Give Teddy His Forever Home?

Teddy deserves a home where he can enjoy being a dog, explore the world, learn new things and become part of a loving family.

If you have the time, patience and commitment to help a young dog continue learning, Teddy could be the companion you've been looking for.
